BAKING

The leaders of the countries in most parts of the land, having imposed a strict lockdown or shielding rules, kept on reciting slogans which were chanted like mantras.

No schooling, no working, no shopping, no operating of non-essential businesses.
No surgeries with doctors to see. No operations, no funerals, no weddings, no sporting events, no dentists. Not anything. Not much in fact.

So people at home in their tiny or large places started to occupy themselves, their children, their extended families in order to remain sane, slightly happier, forward looking….
Although babies could still be made and not prevented from being born …but this wasn’t enough..

This is when they all started to bake eagerly with the newly available flour (any kind of flour, produced by anything able to be turned into flour). They baked, ate, drank a lot, got fatter. Hardly merry…..
